ROLL UP, ROLL UP it’s Waterworks Harvest Fair time again!!!
Calling all you wonderful valley people who would like to help set up our second Harvest Fair about fun, food and sustainable living – it’s on Sunday March 28. Click HERE to see poster.
I am hostessing weekly morning teas (with scones) 10am at my house (144 Waterworks Rd) every Wednesday before the fair.
Amanda Sully (sully.amanda@gmail.com)
Please come if you are able to put in some real time and energy as we need your help!!!
It was such a lovely day last year and at least 50 fab locals helped pull it off with $1,200 raised that has set up the brilliant “Waterworks Community Garden”. Such structures as fences and a watering system was installed through the fair profits which is great and a special thanks to the generous Graddons!
We need people to suggest and coordinate all/any sorts of local produce, garden seedlings and crafts stalls, provide entertainment, resources, time and any ideas.
Please contact me if you are able to help, or I will see you at morning tea next Wednesday 24th at 10am!!
Lets prepare for harvest time!

Devonshire Tea at the Harvest Fair
I am running a Devonshire Tea stall at the Harvest Fair. If you can help by making a batch of scones, donating a jar of homemade jam or by helping on the stall on the day, please contact me at sharronbaird@bigpond.com
cheers, Sharron
Janine is looking for cake/muffin making volunteers.
Everything was snapped up last year, especially popular were slices of cake and muffins as people were hungry and after stuff to eat.
However, whole cakes were great too, people buying them for morning teas at work, one couple were going bushwalking and planned to take a whole cake to eat!!!
Please send Janine a short email with what you think you can make for the stall, remembering: everything must be wrapped (hobart city council food ‘rules’), everything must be labelled with ingredients used, no cream (as no fridge).
Thanks for all the help

Wanted!!
Preserves, Pickles and Jams.
We are once again showcasing our ideas for preserving
the food we grow.
Do you have any excess we can sell?
If you don’t have any excess I would really appreciate
borrowing examples of items you have made to display.
They would be returned to you.
Particularly of interest are ways to use those bulk vegetables
that everyone usually ends up with ie tomatoes and zucchini.
Has any one preserved lemons?
I can be contacted on 6223 6501, janecapp@ozemail.com.au
Or drop in at 142 Waterworks Rd
Cheers
Jane
Arts and Crafts stall – we want to display anything that people have made…it doesn’t have to be fancy!
If anyone has any arts and craft that they wish to either display or sell, please contact me on 6223 2332, tomandmichelle@aapt.net.au or drop anything in to 169 Waterworks Rd
Thanks
Michelle
