Here it is. Draft of Hobart Council’s plan for Waterworks quarry. (Click on the graphic to enlarge it.)
This a minimalist plan in accordance with community wishes. Basically construct barrier so cars don’t use quarry area, large informal play area, car parking on Waterworks road, protection of vegetation and some planting, two picnic tables and rubbish bin. Rockclimbing access facilitated via pathway. Possibility of BBQ site.
This is not the final plan. Council will be holding an open day at the quarry on Sept 5th to help finalise the plan so they can put it into effect. Robert Rands is main person liasing with Council over this issue.

Note that Council officers held an ‘open day’ for the public on Saturday Sept 5th, with Option 1 and Option 2 on display – two competing plans for the quarry. 1) a low key plan and 2) a more recent proposal for a pump track for BMX bikes.
