The Harvest Fair was the inspiration of Sona Lewincamp, then organised by a small group – including Glenda, Sam, Rebecca, Jane, Sharron and Michelle – and then…. well, about a million people took on varied roles from traffic wardens to child activities.

Too many to thank. ‘Twas a truly group effort.

Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of this fair – it was brilliant, and such a fine example of what a community event can be. No crass commercialism, junk food, just good clean fun, food and entertainment!!

I hope it becomes a regular event!!1

I certainly enjoyed myself and Im glad I asked my friend Karen to help as we got rather busy with the basket teaching. Showed a lot of interest and maybe we should be going to some of the schools to do this. The children were very interested. A little boy made a small basket and even had a handle on it. He was thrilled.

Ill certainly come another time, if you ask. and we may have a few people come to our basket get togethers we have happening. Once again congratulations and to many more.

Just wanted to CONGRATULATE you all for a fantastic job yesterday. It was such a beautiful atmosphere and people were so happy. The main stage acts were wonderful (what a lot of class acts), the workshops sounded excellent – just wish I could have gotten to some! The displays were wonderful, the kids entertainment must have been great ‘cos Calire and Roseanna disappeared for a long time. So well done and I hope you are all feeling pleased and satisfied. And the weather!!!!!!
