Last Sunday I went to the first of the three programs originally advertised. It was fascinating - David Obendorf has a wonderful grasp of ecology and communicates it simply and well. Among many other new bits of knowledge, I now know who owns the different poos in my back garden and why it's so important to retain wooded gullies like the one below Gentle Annie. Julia Greenhill helped us get our eyes in for orchids, and Don Knowler was as usual really interesting on birds and Sonia from the HCC showed me how to use binoculars properly. So I'm keen to attend the other two.
