Welcome to our community website.

We can add new features as people see the need, but for now here are a few tips:
- This is an open ‘blog’ site. It will open up on the latest story entered – not on a fixed home page. This makes it interactive, timely and alive.
- The site is accessible to anyone, but only registered ‘users’ may contribute to it. If you are a Waterworks community member you should already be listed as a ‘user’. If not, please contact Chris.
- Now, look to the right side of this page. You will note ‘Categories’ and ‘Tags’. If you click on any of these the site will and automatically sort all entries and instantly give you all stories that relate to that issue. Very nifty.
- If you would like to make a comment on any posting that you see, simply go to the bottom of it and go ahead (only if you are a ‘user’).
- For the time being, Chris and Trish will be moderating the site, until it settles down and more people learn how to drive it.
- For now, if you wish to contribute a story, simply email it to Chris or Trish, preferably with photo or graphic. (We are more than happy to include relevant stories from interested people outside our community.)
- For anybody really keen, look top right and you will see RSS feed. By clicking here you can ask to receive (via email) prompts for you to check the site occasionally, or when new material is added.
- Lastly… please keep in mind the core purposes of this site: our local community and sustainable living. At times we may want to communicate other things that are of interest to community members – such as activist alerts – but we don’t want to cloud this site with personal agendas and irrelevant rantings. By observing good protocols we can keep the site clean, useful and readable to all.
The above is not the last word. Please feel free to add feedback (below) on how the site works for you and features you would like to see.
